Continuous delivery at scale (EN)
Traditional enterprises with their core business not being technology (e.g. banks, insurance companies) typically struggle to adopt to the new reality where software rules the world. These enterprises are now in the late phase of adopting DevOps. It has been empirically shown that continuous delivery can be an important driver for DevOps and high performing development teams practice continuous delivery for shipping their software to the user.
In this talk I would like to outline the many obstacles to overcome when doing continuous delivery at scale at such traditional enterprises. Furthermore, the audience will learn what the do’s and don’ts of continuous delivery are along with the most common pitfalls to avoid.
