AI is becoming an integral part of modern testing, accelerating test creation, failure analysis, and continuous validation. As automation becomes enhanced by AI, testers face new challenges. How can we trust AI-generated results, and what remains the tester`s responsibility when intelligent tools take on more of the work?

This talk explores what happens beyond execution, when testers move from running scripts to designing systems that remain explainable, traceable, and trustworthy. Based on both experience and current research trends in augmented testing, it discusses how human oversight and data quality form the foundation for successful AI-driven automation. Through examples and a brief illustration of how oversight can be embedded into automated workflows, the session shows how testers can evolve into the guardians of responsible automation. Participants will gain a clear understanding of how AI can augment, not replace, human testers and will learn practical strategies to build trust, transparency, and accountability into modern testing practices.
