At this one-day conference, practitioners and enthusiasts share insights and best practices, discuss future trends on topics ranging from testing of and with AI to strategy and impact. Swiss Testing Day provides an opportunity to discuss challenges, exchange experiences and share ideas, to network and to leave with practical suggestions to apply when you get back to the office.

Swiss Testing Day´26 Focus Topics
To guide the application process, the Independent Board has identified some themes for the Swiss Testing Day´26 . We welcome proposals on these topics as well as beyond. these topics as well as beyond.
Human Centered Testing
Testing methods that ensure that AI systems align with ethical considerations, societal norms and human values
Emphasizing the role of humans in the loop for testing AI systems
Using AI to enhance shift-right testing practices
Complementing automated testing with human judgment
Al Governance, Trust and Security
Building trust in Al through transparency, fairness across demographic groups, and ensuring decisions can be understood by humans
Testing AI systems for bias, robustness, and regulatory compliance
Human oversight in autonomous decisions-making: defining where the “Human in the loop” remains essentialLogging and tracking Al decisions for accountability
Quality assurance for Al and robotics in unpredictable environments. focusing on safety. anomaly detection, and ethical edge cases

Selection Process

All abstracts are evaluated. Applicants who are shortlisted will be asked to send their presentation to the organizers.
You submit your abstract here. When submitting your abstract, we ask you to start thinking about how your presentation will look. The Swiss Testing Board, which is responsible for curating the technical focal points, decides whether your contribution will be included in the program.

The Conference Board will evaluate the presentations and select 16-20 presentations for the final program:
The decision has been made, and you may officially call yourself a Swiss Testing Day 2026 Speaker. A board member will contact you to discuss your speech and your ideas in advance. Please consider the length of your chosen format (including Q&A) to ensure you stay on time.
Swiss Testing Day stands for Quality:
We will conduct dry runs to ensure our submissions meet Swiss Testing Days standards. You’ll present your talk to a small group of board members, simulating the real event. They will provide feedback, guidance, and preparation. One board member will act as your supporter, introducing you at the event and offering moral support both pre and during the event.
Abstracts will be evaluated according to the following criteria:
- Benefits for participants / Transferable learning objectives
- Originality / Innovation
- Comprehensibility / Storyline / Structure
- Practical relevance / actionable content
No Sales Pitches, please!
You love your company, your products, your services? And that’s great, because life is too short to waste at a job you hate! But please focus your talk/workshop on practical, real-world solutions that are transferable to other attendees. Pure sales pitches and talks that focus heavily on a specific tool or service will be rejected.
Format
Speech (30 min)
Compact talk with experiences, best practices, or research insights. Goal: inspiration and knowledge sharing.
Workshop (60 min)
Interactive session with exercises and discussions. Goal: hands-on learning and practical methods.
Deep Dive (60 min)
In-depth exploration of a specific topic or tool. Goal: detailed expertise and deeper insights.
Competition (30 min)
Short challenge (e.g. testing quiz, coding task). Goal: playful learning and exchange.
Hackathon (60 – 180 min)
Hands-on teamwork on a practical task. Goal: creative and applied problem-solving.
Simulation Game (30 – 60 min)
Role-play or scenario simulation. Goal: experience, decision-making, and reflection.
Keynote (60 min)
Inspirational open or closing Keynote by a leading expert and selected by the Conference Board and organized with special arrangements. Goal: highlight major trends, provide thought leadership, and spark reflection.
Panel Discussion (60 min)
Moderated roundtable with multiple experts (e.g. “AI: Pros & Cons”). Goal: diverse perspectives and audience interaction.
Admin
All speakers are granted free entry to the conference (Swiss Testing Day 2026), including catering and the partner expo. Please note that travel and hotel costs are not covered by the organizers.
